the front lines. the family of junior seau's family is suing the nfl and helmet maker riddel, claiming his death was caused by violent hits during his career. he died of a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the chest last year and his family says the suit will send a message to the nfl to care for its former players to acknowledge what they call decades of deception on head injuries and player safety. >>> the house has passed a bill that would prevent the united states from hitting the debt ceiling. at least right away. it's dubbed the no budget no pay act. it was proposed by republicans and it lets the treasury department borrow money until mid-may, as long as congress passes a budget by april 15th. if lawmakers don't come up with a blueprint for the budget, the measure states their pay will be withheld. constitution doesn't allow the no pay thing to really happen, so that is a pr stunt. any way, that's why the act passed. 33 republicans, 111 democrats voted against it. one dem who did, congresswoman debbie wasserman schultz and she tells us the bill wasn't a clean debt ceiling increase and

with this person. she is not who she claims to be. that's according to an article on nfl.com, the league's official website, which says the memo was posted by philip daniels, now the team's director of player development. the redskins said philip daniels was not available to speak to us and the team wouldn't put anyone out to talk to us about the players' interactions with the woman on social media. but daniels told nfl.com that on multiple occasions several redskins players tried to arrange meetings with the woman who the report says went by the pseudonym sydney ackerman. she not only wasn't sydney ackerman, report says, she also wasn't c.j. miles, the adult entertainment star whose pictures were ripped off and used in correspondence with the players. there is an unverified twitter feed with pictures of a similar looking woman. tweets there warn fans that an impostor used her photos and say she feels sorry for the players who fell for the hoax. the nfl.com report says none of the players were successful in arranging meetings with the woman who sent the tweets. and that raised suspicions with the r

be the ncaa's area to be more on top of this. he talked about how he worries less about the nfl. have a union, grown men, but it's really the college players, do you think that's right. the ncaa could handle that? >> i don't think the ncaa is the approach. i think they have to have a role in it. but the ncaa is a litigious body. this is an issue of coaches and the support they have. either trainers or doctors themselves. about who is at practice. games get covered by medical specialists, but the majority of these things happen at practice. so i think the ncaa should have a role, but it's time for a new coalition of which the ncaa ought to be a part. but to say that they should be the lead in this, i can give you -- nca just rescinded five years of rules they had built. they finally realized that there was too much bureaucracy there to go for medicine and coaches to go through the ncaa. 40 years with the ncaa. there are organizations, medical organizations and there are coaching organizations that could come together, along with the ncaa and make sure that at least we do, you know, know the ri

seeing defensive backs and especially in the nfl leading with their heads, i used to say, that is the craziest way to tackle. one, it is not effective. and, two, it is so injurious. when do you think that started, the leading with the head? >> well -- >> tim, that's a question to you. >> yeah, i agree, leading with the head is extremely dangerous. i've coached football as well. junior league and high school football. and would never coach that way. i was never coached in the -- in college or the pros to lead with my head on a tackle. i think people are doing it now. i think it should be a strict liability, should be a penalty. i think the -- that football could eradicate that from the game pretty easily. i think that it should be eradicated. e issue i think that is kind of up in the air in this numb nebulous is the repeated blows to the head on the line of scrimmage. that's something i experienced as a lineman in the national football league. you line up every play, and you're taught to use your helmet as, you know, as the impact point to stop the opposing lineman's momen
